Ingredients

  • 1 packet brown gravy mix
  • 1 cup water

Directions

  1. Place the cube steaks in the slow cooker in a single layer.
  2. Sprinkle the dried onions evenly over the meat.
  3. In a liquid measuring cup, whisk together the gravy mix and water until smooth.
  4. Pour the gravy mixture over the cube steaks.
  5. Cover and cook on HIGH for 3 hours or LOW for 5 hours, until the meat is tender.

Tips

  • Cube steaks may be added frozen or thawed.
  • Cooking on LOW results in more tender meat.
  • If using fresh onions, substitute about ¼ cup chopped onion for the dried onions.
