Ingredients

  • 1 can (14.5 oz) cut green beans, drained (or 2 cups cooked fresh)
  • ½ can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup (about ½ cup)
  • ¼ cup milk
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • ⅛ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ cup French fried onions, divided
  • Optional: ¼ cup shredded cheddar cheese

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the green beans, cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, and pepper. Add ¼ cup of French fried onions and fold gently.
  3. Pour mixture into a small baking dish (about 6-inch or similar).
  4. Bake for 20 minutes, until hot and bubbly.
  5. Remove from the oven, sprinkle the remaining fried onions (and cheese if using) evenly over the top.
  6. Return to the oven and bake an additional 5 minutes, or until the topping is golden and crispy.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy!
