A simple, budget-friendly one-pot beef and pasta dish that cooks fast and delivers cozy, comforting flavor for two.
Ingredients
- ½ lb ground beef
- ¼ cup onion, diced
- 2 cups water
- ¾ cup ditalini pasta
- 1 beef bouillon cube
- Salt, to taste
- ½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1–2 teaspoons steak seasoning blend
- Pepper, to taste
- ½ to ¾ cup shredded cheddar cheese
Directions
- Brown the ground beef and onions together until the meat is no longer pink.
- Drain the meat and set aside.
- Add the water, the bouillon cube and a pinch of salt to the same pot and bring to a boil.
- Add the pasta and cook until al dente.
- Watch the pasta as it cooks and add a splash of water as needed; you shouldn’t have to drain it.
- Add the cooked meat and onions back to the pot.
- Add Worcestershire sauce, steak seasoning, and pepper.
- Taste and adjust seasonings; let any remaining liquid cook out.
- Remove from heat, sprinkle with cheddar cheese, and cover with a lid until melted.
