Ingredients
- 1 to 1.5 lb boneless ham steak or small boneless mini ham
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (optional)
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 tablespoons water or apple juice (for moisture)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Place the ham in a small baking dish and add 2 tablespoons of water or apple juice to the bottom of the dish.
- In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, honey (or maple syrup), Dijon mustard, and pepper.
- Spread the mixture over the top and sides of the ham.
- Dot the ham with the butter for extra browning and flavor.
- Cover the dish tightly with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake 15–30 minutes more, until the ham is warmed through and lightly caramelized.
- Rest 5 minutes, slice, and serve.
