Ingredients
- 7 oz smoked sausage or sausage of choice, sliced into 1-inch rounds
- 1⅓ cups frozen diced hash browns (about ⅓ of a standard bag)
- ½ small onion, diced
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 to 2 cups chicken broth or water (just enough to barely cover)
- ½ cup diced tomatoes, optional
- Salt, black pepper, and seasoned salt, to taste
Instructions
- Slice the sausage into 1-inch rounds.
- Add sausage, hash browns, onion, garlic, and optional tomatoes to the slow cooker.
- Pour in enough broth or water to just cover the ingredients.
- Season lightly with salt, pepper, and seasoned salt.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 6 hours or HIGH for 3 hours, until potatoes are tender.
- Taste and adjust seasoning before serving.
